Slack

Set your Slack status and pause Slack notifications while you are in a Focus session.

The Slack connection does one thing: while you are in a Focus session, it tells Slack you are focusing. When the session starts, your Slack status changes to “In focus” and Slack can pause your notifications. When the session ends, both are cleared.

ProjectBrain does not post messages or notifications to Slack channels.

Connect Slack

Section titled “Connect Slack”
  1. Go to Settings > Focus.
  2. Choose Connect Slack and approve access in Slack.
  3. The page shows Connected as with your Slack name.
  4. Turn on status sync.

ProjectBrain asks Slack only for permission to change your profile status and to pause your notifications. It cannot read your messages.

Disconnect

Section titled “Disconnect”

Choose Disconnect on Settings > Focus. Your status is no longer changed during Focus sessions.
